Distributor Wire & Cable has officially opened a new distribution center in suburban Houston, company officials announced last week.
The master distributor’s new, 169,000-square-foot cable distribution center in Missouri City, Texas, aims to serve the region’s rapidly growing energy and infrastructure segments. Company officials said that electrical distributors along the Gulf Coast have seen specialty cable become “one of the hardest materials to source on schedule.”
“Houston is the Mecca of wire and cable, and the people who sell here demand a level of service that matches the scale of what they're quoting,” DWC CEO Travis Williams said in the announcement. “We came to give this market a truly exceptional experience with deep inventory, cut to length capabilities, no minimums, and same day shipping.”
DWC operates seven warehouses in the U.S.
