Continental to Break Ground on Iowa ContiTech Facility

Continental will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for a new facility at its ContiTech campus in Southeast Iowa.

The company is adding a “state-of-the-art” compounding center at the Mount Pleasant plant, which will feature advanced mixing lines and an automated warehouse to support “multiple industrial sectors.” The center is part of a broader expansion of the Iowa campus.

“This investment strengthens our U.S. manufacturing footprint and adds some of the most advanced mixers in the country,” ContiTech USA CEO Andreas Gerstenberger said in a statement. “It also supports our vision to be our customers’ first choice for material‑driven solutions as part of our ‘in the region, for the region’ approach.”
