Evergreen officials said that the decision to dissolve was made following a “careful review” by its leadership staff and board of directors, and that it would conclude remaining business matters and obligations under “an orderly wind-down process.”

The co-op, formerly known as Evergreen Marketing Group, was founded in 1989. It currently consists of 30 independent distributors and more than 90 preferred suppliers.

“We are incredibly proud of Evergreen’s legacy and grateful for the dedication of our members, suppliers, employees and partners over the years,” Evergreen CEO Jen Miller said in a statement. “While this chapter is coming to a close, the relationships, knowledge and impact created through Evergreen will continue across the industry.”
