Georgia safety supply and equipment distributor ASA Safety announced Tuesday that it has acquired counterpart Indiana Safety & Supply.
ISS, located in Washington, Indiana, specializes in personal protective equipment and facility safety products both in Indiana and in surrounding states. ASA officials said the deal would increase the company’s scale and expand it into “new and promising markets.”
“ISS’s purchasing scale strengthens our buying power and enhances our ability to grow and expand their private-label branded products across the broader ASA Safety portfolio,” ASA President Ken Calhoun said in a statement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ASA, which serves industrial and commercial customers mainly in the eastern U.S., now includes ISS as well as the BHP Safety Supply, Safety Max, ESSR, Clean Coast Supply and OccuFit brands. The company, owned by Trivest Partners, added that it “continues to pursue strategic add-on acquisitions” throughout the Southeast.
ISS President and CEO Kevin Bush, meanwhile, said the deal “expands what we can offer in specialized safety products and related services.”
“Together, we’ll broaden product access, strengthen service and support, and create new opportunities for our team,” Bush said.
