Fastener and Class C components distributor AFC Industries on Monday announced the launch of a new brand for its custom engineered tooling solutions.
Cline Tool Customs, officials said, would offer solutions for specialty cutting tools, modified standard tooling, custom-designed components, tool reconditioning and other applications.
The new brand, AFC officials said, “formalizes and sharpens” its custom capabilities while capitalizing on the Cline name’s reputation for expertise and service. AFC acquired Cline Tool in 2021 and combined the Cline and PF Markey subsidiaries under a new brand — AFC Tooling — last year.
“Custom tooling, engineered correctly, can unlock productivity gains that standard products simply cannot deliver,” AFC Vice President of Marketing Joe Shoemaker said in a statement. “This launch brings greater clarity to our capabilities and reinforces our focus on solving real operational challenges through a dedicated team of custom tooling specialists.”
“Cline Tool Customs allows us to go deeper into the application, understand the process at a detailed level, and deliver tooling solutions built specifically for the job,” added Jason Benson, the brand’s managing director.
The Ohio distributor ranked at no. 22 on ID’s 2025 Big 50 list.
