ICAFe, one of the largest industrial finishing companies in the country, has acquired Seneca Industrial, the industrial finishing and adhesives division of the Seneca Companies.

Seneca, which has operations in Des Moines and Baldwin, MS. will be renamed Seneca Fluid Technologies and become a division of Waukesha, WI-based ICAFe.

“Both organizations are recognized leaders in industrial finishing systems,” said Jeff Treske, president of ICAFe. “While each organization has its own strengths, together, we represent a larger organization with a greater ability to serve our customers more effectively.”

ICAFe, based in Waukesha, WI., has served the industrial finishing industry throughout the Mid-Central United States for more than 70 years. The company has grown steadily over the past few decades via organic growth and acquisitions.

“Our sales team and engineers specialize in surface finishing, fluid handling and adhesives applications for the industrial and automotive markets,” said Treske in a statement.

The buyout is the second acquisition for ICAFe in as many years, after the company bought Peoria, IL-based Dove Equipment in late 2014. ICAFe is now one of the largest distributors to the industrial finishings marketplace in North America, with operations in Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. The company also expanded its operations into Mexico last year.

ICAFe specializes in surface finishing, fluid handling and adhesives applications for the industrial and automotive markets. The company has been in existence since 1947, although it has undergone many transformations and relocations around southeastern Wisconsin.
