PTDA Publishes White Paper, Guideline Focusing On Data Content

PTDA has developed a white paper and best practices guide to serve as practical tools for distributors and manufacturers to engage customers, suppliers, and stakeholders in an efficient manner.

CHICAGO — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) has released “Millions at Stake–Do You Have a Strategy Around Rich Attribute Data?” white paper and “Digital Asset Best Practice Guideline.”

Customers rely increasingly on robust content to make a buying decision. Executives are committing financial investment and talented resources to develop data content strategies to capitalize on growth opportunities with their distributor and end-user customers. Millions of dollars of revenue and profit are at stake. At the core of one of these strategies is rich attribute data content.

Research shows product data that is not coordinated between manufacturers and distributors typically leads to data inaccuracy, lost sales, excess inventory, inefficient use of staff time to reconcile price adjustments and delays in new product launches. To help distributors and manufacturers better understand the existing challenges and opportunities for solutions around rich attribute data, PTDA has developed a white paper, “Millions at Stake–Do You Have a Strategy Around Rich Attribute Data?” Additionally, a “Digital Asset Best Practices Guideline” is also available to serve as a practical tool to engage customers, suppliers and stakeholders in an efficient manner.

The “Millions at Stake–Do You Have a Strategy Around Rich Attribute Data?” white paper and “Digital Asset Best Practice Guideline” is available to download for free. Visit ptda.org/RichAttribute for more information.
